WHY IS THERE HELL IF GOD LOVES US?

God didn’t make hell for people.

Matthew, chapter 25, verse 41 tells us that it was prepared for the devil and his angels.

However, 1 John, chapter 3, verse 8 tells us that anyone can belong to the devil, if they keep on sinning and doing wrong. We do keep on doing and thinking wrong things and so we all deserve to be punished, with the devil and his angels.

But, as you say in your question, God does love us and doesn’t want anyone to be punished. That’s why Jesus came to die on the cross and why God brought him to life again. He didn’t have to die, but, because he loves us, he chose to take the punishment we should have.

Now we all have a choice. We can ignore what Jesus did, or we can say sorry for the wrong we do and say, thank him for dying for us and ask him to help us live his way.

If you choose this second option, it means you become a Christian and God wipes out all the wrong things. You belong to him!
