30 Days Defeating the Arch-Enemy of Our Finances (Mammon)Sample
DESERT TIMES
Because of disobedience, the Israelites spent a prolonged period of time in the wilderness - 40 years, but yet God sustained them. God takes care of us. He did not leave the Israelites alone. They basically ate only manna (which in Hebrew means "what is it"). Every day when they came out of their tents, they saw the manna, cooked it, and ate it. All their food came from heaven. What an incredible experience!
Remember, when Israel came out of Egypt, the Egyptians gave them all the wealth they asked for (Exodus 12:36) because of their fear from the ten plagues. We don’t know how much wealth the Israelites carried off with them, but in the wilderness, they could not use it, so they had to depend directly on God. The principle is: In desert times, continue to depend completely on the Father.
Are you in a financial desert? If you are in a season where resources are scarce, remember your provision will come from God, above all else. Believe that one morning, when you are leaving your house, you will see manna fall, and like Israel you will be perplexed and say, "What is it?" And once again God our provider will bring manna to your table. Even in desert times, if we trust Him, He will miraculously supply all we need. God does not change in days of abundance or in days in the desert. Trust Him!
Remember: Every desert has an end. We must believe in the Father's provision, even on bad days. He owns everything and will supply our needs.
