Weird Ideas: God and the UniverseSample

Sometimes it’s hard for someone in Christ to comprehend how somebody doesn’t believe what has become so obvious and evident to them. Or they look back over the course of their life and wonder how they could ever not believe what they have now come to know about reality through the eyes of Jesus.
Coming to see things from God’s point of view isn’t just about getting right information. There’s a spiritual component too. Jesus will say when God’s word goes out, people will respond in different ways. For some, split desires in life choke it. For others, pressure or pain leads them to abandon it. And on top of it, there’s spiritual forces at work blinding people from God’s truth.
If you believe God’s weird ideas, praise him that he brought you to faith. Just don’t be surprised if what you believe seems weird to those who don’t know him. A living faith embracing God’s worldview and ideas about reality will put you in the minority. Even in a culture where it seems Christianity is the majority. Don’t lose heart. Don’t lose hope. Pray for them. And rejoice that God has helped you come to see that what is true about him.
If this plan helped you better understand how Christians see the world, we encourage you to subscribe to the next plan, “Weird Ideas: Jesus Christ.”
About this Plan

Christians are different. They can’t help it. When you’re in Christ and filled with the Spirit, it changes you. This leads to weird ideas and alternate beliefs about reality. This series of 5-day plans uses classic Christian Creeds as a vehicle to explain the Christian worldview compared to the world’s, and help us see reality through Jesus’s eyes.
