A Merger Of Love
Paul builds on the unity of married couples when he reminds us of our close affinity with Christ. As believers we are ‘members of Christ himself,’ and we are ‘one with him in Spirit.’ It is personal. We are the bride of Christ! His will determines our will; his priorities become ours; his power is available to us. It is a mysterious ‘merger of love’ that can only be experienced through Him.
Prayer: Father God, there are so many things I don’t understand, but what I DO understand, I want to live out by faith. Today I thank you for your unfailing love for me; I thank you for making me part of yourself and part of your church. Whenever I think about it, it brings me enormous joy. Help me live my life for you today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
