You Have His Rod (Authority and Power)
When we face a problem or big difficulties in our life, we look at our problems or the enemy like the Israelites looked at Goliath; Too strong and too unbeatable! However, David looked at Goliath from God's perspective. Yes, he was too big, but so big that it was impossible to miss this target. David knew that God gave him the authority of the King of kings, and his rod to break the problems and the enemy. Jesus gave us his authority and power of the Holy Spirit. When you are facing big problems or bondage, use the rod of iron to break all problems as if they are clay pots, which are easily smashed because His authority is bigger than your problems, bondage and the enemy.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us a new identity in Christ with your authority and power. Help us abide in you and your words abide in us, so that we can fully depend on your authority and the power of the Holy Spirit to defeat our enemy like your rod that breaks the clay pots. In Jesus' name, Amen.
