Cry Out To God When We Feel Trapped
Children are natural explorers and whey they do, they often find themselves in trouble. Just like what happened to my daughter when she was a toddler, she climbed up in our double deck bed even though there was no ladder which I deliberately removed as a precaution. I only knew that she was up there because I heard the cry of her tiny voice pleading for help. I was so surprised and rescued her. I found out later on how she climbed up using the window grills near the bed and upon reaching the height of the second deck she swung like a monkey swinging from one tree to another. She was a good climber, the problem is she did not know how to climb back down!
Just like many of us, we are very good in putting ourselves in trouble but do not know how to get out. What makes things worse is we have the tendency not to ask for help. Unlike children who at the first sign of trouble will immediately cry for help or seek refuge in their parents.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach my heart to have a child like faith to cry out to you in faith and seek refuge in times of overwhelming trials. I trust in your unfailing love. Thank you Lord, In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
About this Plan
How do we live our lives in the Kingdom of God on earth? How do we feed ourselves with the Word of God? By reading the Bible. But how do we grasp all the Bible has to offer in an easy and enjoyable way? This reading plan spans one year with daily bite-sized chunks of devotions and scripture to help you stay focused, at a comfortable pace and without overwhelming yourself. As you begin your walk through the bible, you’ll see the God’s Kingdom reveal itself and you’ll start to hear, read, study, memorize, meditate, and apply God's word in your life.
