Are we sometimes too clever for our own good? Definitely. We twist and turn, direct and manipulate our circumstances to where we want them to go even at the expense of other people. Yet, our best efforts will come to nothing if our motives and attitudes are wrong. The Bible says: "A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.”
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for my disdainful attitudes when evaluating things by my own standards and making judgments based on my personal views. Thank you that when I am meek and humble I will have Your knowledge and wisdom to guide me in all my dealings with people and situations. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
