Remember In Song
Remember in Song, Eleven chapters from the book of Psalms are attributed to the Sons of Korah. The Korahites had quite a history of adventure with the children of Israel. Their ancestors were responsible for transporting the Tabernacle items when the children of Israel relocated. Descendants became involved with disgruntled and rebellious Israelites and the earth swallowed them and their households. God’s grace and mercy allowed a new generation of Korahites into service and we have their beautiful Psalms expressing a spirit of great gratitude and humility to an awesome, mighty God. “For each of us, our own songs of renewed purpose and redemption should flow out of a heart of humility as we remember the fallen state from which He raised us and the redemption that we experience through His grace (Gerald Wilson).” Can you hear the heart of worship in this song?
Prayer: O Lord of Hosts, I am grateful for Your mercy and forgiveness. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house, ever singing Your praise. I am eternally blessed by You. In the holy name of Jesus, Amen.
