Do you remember what Jesus’ friends saw coming towards them?

They had left Jesus on the shore to have some time alone with God. Now he was walking towards them – but they were in a boat in the middle of a lake! What do you think they felt?

Read Mark, chapter 6, verse 49 and the first part of verse 50. What or who did they think Jesus was? What did they start doing?

Jesus said three things. What were they? His words are in verse 50. If you were in the boat, which words would help you?

Jesus got in the boat and the wind stopped blowing. Jesus’ friends were amazed at what they saw. Verse 51 explains that they couldn’t understand how Jesus did this. They hadn’t realised that he was God’s Son and could even control the weather and do impossible things like walking on water.

There was still so much that they needed to learn and understand about Jesus.
