How to Reach Your Co-WorkersSample
OBSERVE AND SERVE
What has God done as you prayed specifically for your colleague? How has your mindset been changed?
Jesus gives us an example to follow: When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9:36)
Noticing and Helping Others
By noticing what other people are facing, we can begin to see them and their needs as God sees them. This week, put on Christ's glasses and take time to notice what your colleagues are struggling with and how they feel.
As you continue reading today's scripture reference, you'll see Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Try to notice what issues are on the minds of your co-workers. What needs are causing them to search for answers?
Romans 2:4 says God's kindness is meant to lead people to repentance. That kindness is often exhibited through helping others. People see us before they see Christ in us. Responding to someone's needs and doing them a favor or act of kindness plants a seed of curiosity in them. They begin to wonder why we are different.
Make plans this week to be God's hand extended by noticing others and then responding to any needs they might have.
