Release of Guilt and Shame

Heavenly Father, I come before you with a heavy heart and a burdened soul. I am filled with shame and guilt over the mistakes I have made in my life. There are moments when the shortcomings of my past tend to creep up on me. I am reminded of my bad choices, failures, traumatic experiences, and unfortunate situations. Lord, I can't seem to overcome this trauma. I feel unworthy of your love and forgiveness, but I know that I cannot continue to carry this weight on my own. This trauma has put me in some stuck places. Lord, I leave my concerns and destructive thoughts at your feet.

I ask that You help me release this shame and guilt from my being. Allow me to forgive myself for the things I have done and to find peace in Your love and compassion. Please help me to understand that I am human and that making mistakes is a part of the human experience. Lord, give me a heart check tonight. Show me the areas in my life where I am clinging to my shame and guilt. Lord, you went on the cross so that I would be set free from sin. I surrender my shame and guilt to You, knowing that You will take care of me and guide me on my journey towards healing and forgiveness. Thank You for freeing me from the bondage of my past. Thank You, Lord, for healing my heart from pain. Thank You for removing the shame and guilt from my mind and heart. I trust that You will help me learn from my mistakes and become a better person because of them. Thank You for Your love and support and for always being there for me, even when I feel lost and alone. I know that with Your help, I can overcome any obstacle and find happiness in my life once again. I decree and declare by the power of the Holy Spirit that I am walking into my season with joy and expectation, in Jesus' name!
