Why Worship When You Are HurtSample

Why Worship When You Are Hurt

DAY 1 OF 6

We all go through pain and suffering; it is a part of a Christian's life. For example, the doctors just told you that your medical test results are not in your favor, or your boss called you up and said, "We are cutting down your pay," or the job that was tailor-made for you just slipped out of your hands, or maybe you just lost your loved ones.

The pain is immense. You are hurt badly. It is natural that you would find it difficult to set aside time to worship God when your dreams get shattered, when your plans fall apart, and when you are hurt. You may think that the Lord whom you worshiped has forgotten you.

This often leads to praying prayers like, "How long, O Lord? Why me? Why now? Why this?" Don't lose heart, my friend! You are in the same boat in which Psalmist David had journeyed. God gave David comfort and peace, and He is able to do the same for you.

David cried out to God in Psalm 13:1-2:

"How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and have sorrow in my heart day after day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?"

Before we dig in deeper into these verses, would you pray with me and ask the Lord to speak to you? Just for a minute, could you set aside those hurts, pain, and suffering and remember the Nature of God, His Attributes, His Character, His Goodness, and His abundant Mercies?

Prayer

God, I thank You for You are a Good God. There is none like You. Yes, I have gone through hurt, but I know You are able to bring me healing, breakthrough, and restoration. Amen.

About this Plan

Why Worship When You Are Hurt

In times of difficulty and uncertainty, we often find ourselves questioning and praying for answers. This passage reminds us that even the great Psalmist David faced similar moments but consistently chose to worship God. This powerful reminder encourages us not to lose heart in challenging times but rather to turn to God in worship. Read and be blessed.
