The Glory of Little Bethlehem is Foretold By the Prophet Micah
Because of Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection you stand secure. Because of His greatness, you can know peace and protection.
Imagine Micah, writing 700 years before the birth of Christ, in a town not far from where the Savior would be born. He wrote to warn about judgement, he wrote emphasize God’s love and justice for us, and Micah also wrote to affirm that God would restore His people - namely through Jesus.
If you feel unsafe or unprotected or unheld today, throw off those lies and praise God for the greatest Shepherd of all time. He holds you – the one who holds the universe. He holds you and loves you fiercely. Micah wrote in the midst of war-torn Israel/Judah and he boldly declared that “they shall dwell secure...and He shall be their peace”. Whatever you live in the midst of today, as one who has the great privilege of living after the Messiah has come - declare that over your life.
I shall dwell secure.
He shall be my peace.
