Promises of the Prophecy With Dr. David JeremiahSample
No One Knows When Jesus Is Coming
For decades I have studied the scriptures regarding the End Times and Christ’s return. Though the Bible is full of prophecies for our benefit, and though God reveals many mysteries to us through His Word, there is one piece of information only He knows: when Jesus will come back.
However, Jesus did give us some wisdom regarding His return: He did not promise to return when world conditions resembled the days of Abraham, or the days of Daniel, or the days of Paul. He will come suddenly during a period of history resembling the days of Noah.
What does this mean for us? The generation of Noah’s day was careless and cavalier. When Christ returns, people will continue to live as they have always lived in spite of cataclysmic warnings and predictions. They will focus on the present. They will make plans for the future only to ensure their physical comfort. They will not give one thought to the possibility that the prophets were right. In short, will not be looking for a Savior or searching for God.
Reflect
How might this generation resemble that of Noah’s time? Do you believe we are growing closer to the moment of Christ’s glorious return?
Pray
Lord, I do not know when You are planning to come back, but I pray I will be ready. Prepare my heart for the day of Your choosing and thank You for the promise of Your salvation.

About this Plan
Though no one but God knows the precise time of Jesus’s return, we are fortunate to have the prophecies of Scripture to prepare us for the times that are ahead. For the next seven days, we will explore some of the truths Scripture holds for us about the Rapture. Based on Dr. David Jeremiah’s book, The Great Disappearance: 31 Ways to Be Rapture Ready.
