Your New PlaylistSample
When I look at our world today, I see so many people working to create a name for themselves for personal gain. We see this in big ways like exploitation, and small ways like talking bad about someone to make ourselves look good. Working only for personal gain will never give us true satisfaction or a complete feeling of accomplishment.
We can apply this verse to our personal and work lives through humility in all that we do. We can humble ourselves by not giving ourselves credit for the good things we do, instead giving God all the credit and thanks. This is how we give God the glory and make our “good deeds” really matter because instead of pointing back to ourselves, we get to point to God. Getting to be a part of a bigger story, God’s story, is the greatest feeling of achievement and aligns us with the purpose God created us to fulfill. When we give our everyday life to Jesus, we uncover different opportunities and possibilities that we might have never thought were possible.
Today, consider what areas of your life you have been working hardest in. Then ask yourself, how can I make this hard work point to God, rather than myself?

About this Plan
Incorporating wisdom from the Acuffs’ book "Your New Playlist," we’re going to tap into the superpower of mindset. We’ll cover topics from repeated negative thoughts to the experience of temporary feelings. We'll learn just how much the way we think, impacts the life we live. God cares deeply about our thoughts, so we’ll look to Scripture to choose mindsets that align with the full life we were created to live.
