Day 3: Strength in Difficult Times
Opening Prayer:
Lord, I recognize that our roles as school staff, administrators, and teachers can be filled with challenges and trials. I come before you today, seeking strength and encouragement to persevere during difficult times. May your presence sustain us and give us the endurance we need. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Reflection:
Think about the hardships you have faced or are currently facing in your work. It could be dealing with a demanding workload, facing criticism, or encountering student struggles. Reflect on how relying on God's strength can help you to overcome these challenges and to be a source of hope and inspiration to others. We can often feel as adults that we are responsible for our students and coworkers, however, we are actually responsible to them. Meaning, in a difficult circumstance, we are responsible for how we react in that moment or towards that person. This mindset will help free us from the feeling that everything is within our control, when in reality we can only truly control ourselves. If we lose our temper, make a mistake, or encounter a struggle – will people remember the issue or the reaction that we have to that issue when it does arise? Allow God to enter in and guide you through your own emotional responses to recognize that we are ALL broken people living in a broken world under a perfect God. Give it to Him.
Prayer Focus:
Pray for strength, both physical and emotional, to face the difficulties you encounter. Ask God to renew your energy and give you the endurance to continue working diligently. Pray for His comfort and peace in times of frustration or discouragement, knowing that His grace is sufficient.
