PLEASE DON’T END GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

The following words taken from the Book of Wisdom, have great meaning, as does the scripture above.

“Do not invite death by the error of your life, nor bring on destruction by the works of your hands; because God did not make death, and he does not delight in the death of the living.”

In the first plan of this 3-part series, I was very genuine to tell you that I fell into great despair—a very dark place. I was trying to hide the fact that I was in this dark place and how alone I felt. Among my feelings was helplessness, and I was certain things would never improve or change.

It was all lies of the enemy.

Have you ever heard that, “Time is a healer?” In many ways, this is filled with truth. When we have suicidal thoughts we need lots of time to heal what is going on within our minds and body. Time often automatically changes circumstances that we feel will never change. Time certainly was on my side.

You may think that your life is headed so downhill that God could never use you. You are wrong, and I can prove that through the life of Paul, who was a devoted Pharisee. His entire mission was to destroy Christianity, even holding the coat of Stephen as he watched him die. God had a plan for Paul, which blinded him temporarily on the road to Damascus, getting his attention. Long story short, this man who at one time was pure evil, changed, and God used him to write 13 books in the Bible!! If God can use a man of this character, He can use anyone!!

PRAYER: Father, help us to realize, that even when we feel we aren’t needed, You see in us what we cannot see. Father give me strength in my darkest times to reach out and to realize that time is on my side! Father, because I don’t have the strength to help myself, would you give me the courage to reach out for help? In Jesus’ Name. Amen
