The Beauty

DAY 4 OF 7

Self-deception Human beings are masters of self-deception. People have told so many lies and heard so many lies that people begin to believe lies. But God wants to take self-deception to The Cross and nail it to The Cross. You cannot trust what you think about your self. Why? It is because even what you think about yourself can be flawed and the hard truth is that most of the time it is. Relying on what people say about you can be rather costly. So look beyond what you say or think about yourself, look beyond what people say about you and anchor your trust on what God says about you. You and I must get to that point in our lives where we can boldly declare the truth - God's truth. Noah could only do what he did because he believed what God said and not what he said or what the people said about him. How far do you think Noah would have gone relying on self or on people? It is God's truth that took him all the way. If God says you are a king then you are a king. Choose to believe what God says and not your financial statement. If you abandon what God says for what your bank statement reflects - that is self-deception. The Bible is a great place to discover what God says about you. Get into God's Word and discover what He said and is still saying about you. Then use God's truth to arrest every self-deception. Prayer: I am not who I think I am. I am not who people think I am. I am who God says that I am, in Jesus Name. Amen!
