The EndSample
Most of Paul’s writings about the end times are found in 1 Thessalonians. Paul describes the wrath and judgment that will occur when Christ returns and the troubled conditions of the world during that time. However, he offers words of hope in Chapter 5 telling believers in Christ that they should encourage each other and lift each other up, for their salvation in Christ will spare them from the coming wrath and lead to eternal life. In Chapter 4, he also talks about the rapture when living Christians will be taken to heaven and spared from the coming judgment. After you read today’s passages, ask yourself these questions: What did I learn about God? What did I find interesting about what I read? How do I feel about what I read about the rapture? Are you lifting up others and encouraging them? Why or why not?
About this Plan
The second coming of Christ is one of the most talked about and controversial topics found in God’s Word. Because some of what is found in the Bible regarding the end of time can be difficult to understand, there has been a great deal of debate and theories as to what will actually happen when Christ returns. This 32-day Bible Plan strips away all of the theories and debates and focuses only on what the Bible says. Allow God to speak to you and show you what He wants you to know about the end as you read about it straight from the source.
