#5: Simple Prayer for Provision

Who or what makes you feel secure? Is it a job, a relationship, a savings account, or a 401K? Do you trust in your degree, years of experience, or maybe even your family?

There is only one place we can put our trust and not be let down: in God our Father, Jehovah Jireh.

He is not just our Creator; he is our Provider. He knows what we need before we need it, and as any good father would do, he gives us the things he knows we need.

Philippians 4:19 contains a promise: And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. That is faithfulness! He will meet every need we have.

What do you need right now? Are you experiencing more month than money? Do you have a fractured relationship or heart? Are you feeling called to walk out his purpose but need his wisdom to do it?

Praying about our needs--taking each one to the Father--is a privilege we have as children of the Living God. We can tell the Lord what is happening and ask him to meet the need. Your needs are not too big, nor are they too small to escape his notice.

God can meet our needs. He is able!

Action: Write down your needs. Take them to the Father, and ask him to meet your needs. Post the list where you can see it so you can document when he answers your prayers.

Simple Prayer of Provision: Father God, Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, thank you for meeting every need I have had up to this point. Right now, I need _____________ (be specific). I trust that your ways are higher than my ways. I believe your promises to bless us so that in all things at all times, having all we need, we will abound in every good work like it says in 2 Corinthians 9:8. Thank you for seeing to my needs, for giving me the security only you can, and for caring about every single detail of my life. I love you, in Jesus' name, amen.
