How to Handle Shattered DreamsSample
"Refrain Your Voice from Weeping..."
Heart Cry
Why does life sometimes seem
Like one big mistake
A long dark tunnel,
A gorge of shadows?
-
After every rain, the sun should shine,
Behind every cloud, a silver lining should hide,
But when will it stop pouring?
When will my sun rise again?
-
Yet will I resist lethargy's grip,
And shake off the ashes of despair
I will sing praises without end,
For the Lord is good, circumstances notwithstanding.
-
"Refrain thy voice from weeping,
And thine eyes from tears:
for thy work shall be rewarded," saith the LORD...
"And there is hope in thine end."*¹
-
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
And why art thou disquieted within me?
Hope thou in God; For I shall yet praise Him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God."*²
-
I know that my Redeemer lives,
And His grace is sufficient for me,
His mercies - abundant as ever,
Will yet see me through to my destiny.
