Pop quiz: How does an airplane work? No, really, what keeps a plane flying up there in the sky?

Most of us can't really explain it all that well, but just because we don't understand it, doesn't mean we don't trust them. We don't necessarily know how they work, but we've seen them work enough times to feel safe riding them.

Most people don't understand how planes work, but nobody on Earth understands exactly how God works. God promises one day we'll understand it all, but until then, we just have to trust God is going to care for us and keep us safe. That's not always easy to do, especially when life is challenging. We may get scared and confused, and we want answers. How can we trust that God is going to look out for us?

If we look back over our lives, we can see that God has been there for us every step of the way. Even in the hardest times of our lives, God never left our side. The Bible calls this being faithful. We can count on God to take care of us even when we don't understand because God has always done just that for us in the past.
