You Are Not AloneSample

Devotional: Through the death and resurrection of Christ, we have access to a constant stream of grace when we fall short of His perfection. The only thing we have to do to receive His grace is accept it—and that requires humility. In 1 Peter 5:5-6, we’re not commanded to be humble at certain times or with certain people; we’re commanded to clothe ourselves with humility. And when we choose to live in humility instead of pride, we are promised grace.
Prayer: Dear God, I don’t want to let my pride keep me from experiencing the riches of Your grace. Help me choose humility instead of pride and continually accept Your grace with a grateful heart.

About this Plan

Grace has been on a journey to find recovery from her eating disorder she struggled with called “anorexia nervosa.” There have been various passages of Scripture that have encouraged her, and 1 Peter 5 is one of them. Not only does this chapter encompass deep theological truths that are foundational for believers to understand, but it also has the power to encourage believers who are facing intense trials and temptations.
