It's All About Love?!Sample
Loving God above everything else
“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”(Matthew 10:37)
God’s love is deeper than we can imagine. It’s so great that nobody can ever completely know it (see Ephesians 3:19). Jesus gave His life for us long before we loved Him. We were rebellious sinners when He died for us to pay the debt of our sins. His love has no limits.
In Deuteronomy 6:5, the people of Israel are called to love the Lord their God with all their heart and all their strength and to let their whole lives be focused on Him. In the New Testament, this commandment is repeated for all Christians. And in Matthew 10:37, Jesus stresses that our love for God should exceed our love for anyone and anything else.
It is important to note that Jesus does not demand that we love our family members less than we used to do. On the contrary, He tells us to love our fellow people as much as we love ourselves. But our love for Him should be even deeper than that. God should be the number one in our lives.
Maybe you think this just sounds too demanding. How can we ever meet this standard? Let’s read some helpful Bible verses about this question tomorrow!
About this Plan
The Bible says love is great and indispensable. It tells us to love the people around us. But most of all, the Bible speaks about God’s amazing love for us humans and invites us to love Him back with all our hearts. Do you love God?
