Day 5: Surrender the "How"

Have you ever been told by God that you were going to do something that absolutely makes no sense? Have you ever been given a vision for your life that is bigger than what you can even fathom? See, God's ways are higher than our ways, and sometimes we may not understand how He is working in our lives. We just have to believe.

I’ve struggled with trying to figure out how the many ideas and visions that God has given me were going to come to life. I remember Pastor Robert Madu emphasizing in a sermon last year that God always works through people. This is so true. All we have to do is be ready. I didn’t realize that my focus was never supposed to be on “How” it will happen, but rather on believing that it would.

The answer to why we should surrender the “how” is quite simple. We know who He is. If you don’t know who he is, here’s a gentle reminder. He is Elohim - Creator and Sovereign ruler of our universe. He is Adonai – The Master with authority over His creation. He is El Shaddai - God Almighty. He is Jehovah Jireh - The Lord who always provides.

He is Jehovah Rohi - The Lord is my shepherd who cares for us and guides us.

He is The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End, The First and the Last, The Great I Am.

I give the "how" over to You, Lord. Even when I don't understand how You're operating in my life, please help me to have faith in Your knowledge and authority. Give me confidence that You always do what's in my greatest interest. Amen
