PrideFALL With Judah LupisellaSample
Day Three
God sees what’s really in your heart and what you're thinking, even when you don't speak those thoughts out loud. Don’t think you can trick God by trying to appear humble on the outside so that you can be exalted. He sees what you're doing, and if that is you, you will be humbled. Let your continuous prayer be: “Lord don’t let me be exalted in any way if my heart isn’t humble.”
I’d rather be humble and lowly than prideful and exalted—I hope that you can say the same. “Therefore let the one who thinks he stands watch out that he does not fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12).
Stop thinking about yourself all of the time. Stop thinking about what you would’ve done in comparison to how someone else did their job. Stop being so impressed with yourself. Everything you’ve ever had—any skill, any favor, any success, any good thing—is a result of God and not you. That’s just the truth. We’re privileged that we even get to be a part of God’s plan. We’re chosen instruments for the Kingdom of God. We are chosen—not self-made, not self-righteous—but chosen, qualified by the blood of Jesus Christ, not by our own doing.
With that being said, let’s all, myself included, get off of our high horses and stop acting like we’re better than anyone else, more spiritually impressive than anyone else, and realize that we are absolutely nothing without Jesus Christ.
To think anything else shows that there is a fall coming for you in the near future. Unless, that is, you decide to humble yourself now, repent, and turn from your wicked pride.
