Gracious Jesus 6 - the King’s TouchSample
Jesus Heals – Part 2
Jesus is the divine Healer. The ultimate Healer. Physical healing is much sought after as our lives are short and speckled with sickness with inevitable death. Some need it more than others. Spiritual healing, however, is what we all really need. This is available to everyone on earth. Few seek it. Even in the times of Jesus, many were satisfied with physical reprieve and did not look further into the vast spiritual treasures Jesus was offering.
Routine of Healing
There are different approaches to healing that Jesus takes. There are times:
• He sees and heals – e.g., Peter’s mother-in-law, Letricia
• Some are brought – especially those who cannot come on their own, like the paralyzed or demon-possessed.
• Others come – from long distances to hear, to be healed
• Some reach out, even if it is just to touch Him.
Similarly, spiritually:
• He sees and heals. Though situations appear out of control, He is in control. We don’t know how often the Master’s touch is on us, even without our knowledge.
• Some are brought. Those who cannot come to Jesus on their own need help, guidance, and a loving friend to patiently stand with them till their faith grows strong.
• Others come – to hear, to be healed. Many seek healing – from different religions and walks of life. Some establish a relationship with the Divine Healer, Jesus. Others walk away even after they are healed.
• Some reach out – Somehow, they have the faith and reach out to Him directly.
Responses to Healing
Many receive healing, but responses differ. Here are some of them:
· Serving Jesus
· Leaving Jesus
· Thanking Jesus
· Seeking Jesus
When Christ touches us, there is a reason – to, in turn, touch others in a more effective manner. Do we fulfil the purpose of healing we have received?
Reasons for Healing
Our biggest infirmity is sickness of soul.
1 Peter 2:24“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed”.
Matthew Henry says, "Our sins are called our griefs and sorrows because all our griefs and sorrows are owing to our sins and our sins deserve all our griefs and sorrows.”
How can we maintain focus on souls and retain SOUL VISION? What attitude towards healing should we have?

About this Plan
His hand brings healing to many. He touches the untouchable. His voice calms the seas and speaks power. He breathes new life into lives shattered and wasted by demonic influences. He even stops a pandemic. So simple, yet so powerful. So gentle yet so full of authority. So loving, yet tough on the hard-hearted! This is King Jesus, who walked among us and lives within us even today.
