Stuck Together

DAY 19 OF 28

“Love each other in the same way I have loved you.” Those are words straight from the mouth of Jesus. Straight from the mouth of the man, fully human and fully God, who died for you and me on the cross. He loved us first and He loved us so much that He was willing to suffer, face mistreatment, and die a terrible death, all so we could know God and live with God forever.

This verse calls God’s people to something greater. It calls us to love as Jesus did. Jesus didn’t just say He loved us, He showed us by going to the cross, sacrificing Himself for us. In the same way, we should be actively loving others, intentionally making time for others, serving them, and putting their needs before our own. And we can start by loving our family and the people we live with!

Today, choose to love your family like Jesus. Look for ways to serve others in your family and do it with a grateful heart. Love your family by making time for them. Choose to speak kindly to them, even when you might be frustrated. Pick one way to show love toward them today, and then do it!
