A Child's Guide To: God Is Bigger Than Bad DaysSample
Changing Hearts
Jesus replied, “There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything.”
Luke 18:27 (CEV)
Bad days, sad days . . .
Is everybody mad days?
Sometimes it sure feels like it! When people are in a bad mood, they will often make other people mad too. It spreads! And some days, you just feel angry, and you do things that hurt other people even though you don’t really want to.
Sigh.
Don’t worry. God can help! Actually, God is the only one who can really change someone’s heart! He can change even the meanest heart, making it kind towards others. Jesus can help anybody who chooses to love and obey him.
So ask God to help you on those mad days, and ask him to change your heart.
And when someone else is having a mad day, pray for them, too. Tell them about how Jesus can help them feel and do better by changing their heart.
HERO TRAINING
When you feel mad, you can pray to God for help. You can also do things to help you feel calmer. Below are some ideas. Next time you feel mad about something, remember these ideas of what you can do in that moment.
- Run outside
- Take a long bath
- Read the Bible
- Play with your pet
GOD'S WONDERFUL WORLD
Hawaii’s Kilauea is the world’s most active volcano. When it erupted in 2018, the lava that spewed out could have filled 320,000 Olympic swimming pools! (That’s one angry volcano!)
