PUT ON ALL THE ARMOR!
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.” Ephesians 6:11-17
In a different account of a Centurion, Jesus was well pleased by the faith he demonstrated when he came to him for the healing of his paralyzed servant. How would you like Jesus to comment on you just like what he said about this Centurion?
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said,“I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” Matthew 8:10
That Centurion was prepared and trusted that Jesus could heal his servant without him even being present. Likewise, we are to be fully prepared for living life today. How do we prepare for spiritual battle? The verse today reveals that we must put on ‘all’ of the armor. In other words, you can’t just be a Sunday Christian. You can’t claim you are Christian, yet live like the world, justifying things that go contrary to God’s word. We can show love without compromising the word of God.
We must be grounded in the word of God and communicate in prayer daily. Seek forgiveness and learn to forgive. We can rid ourselves of ego by focusing on God. Then we will be better equipped to face whatever lies ahead.
PRAYER: Father, thank You that we can put on the full armor and walk on earth as soldiers of the cross. Help us to remember that we may be the only Bible another man sees, and we may be the only light in a world of darkness for one who is struggling. In Jesus Name. Amen

About this Plan
I’ve always felt that God has a special place in His heart for the soldier. Out of 195 countries in the world, only a handful commemorate a day set aside to honor those who died for their country. May we honor those who died for their nation, while giving honor to Jesus, who laid down His life for our freedom from sin! We honor Jesus by becoming His soldiers!
