A Child's Guide To: Being God's Little HelpersSample
Staying Safe with God
Be completely faithful to the Lord your God, love him, and do whatever he tells you. The Lord is the only one who can give life, and he will let you live a long time in the land that he promised to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Deuteronomy 30:20 (CEV)
If you have a pet, you know you must keep an eye on them. A puppy might run into the street and get hit by a car. A rabbit might get lost in the tall grass. A turtle could get stuck under the couch. But if they stay near us, we can more easily try to keep them safe, healthy, and happy.
God wants to keep us safe, too. God is our father and we are His children. God wants us to be safe forever . . . which means living with Him forever in Heaven.
How can you do that? God loves you so much that He gives you a way to be with Him forever. You can start by reading your Bible (God’s Word!) and saying a simple prayer to God . . .
God, I’m sorry when I do things that are wrong. I love you and I want to be close to you always!
HERO TRAINING
God wants us to stay close to Him. Draw a picture of your home with Jesus next to it as a reminder that He will stay close to you always.
GOD'S WONDERFUL WORLD
Wombats dig some of the longest burrows in the world. A burrow can be up to 100 feet long and have several rooms. Wombats even visit each others’ homes!
