Everything Comes Alive – We Are Messengers’ Darren Mulligan
For 27 years, I lived without Jesus in my life. I chose to ignore and reject Him at every turn, and because of that, I know what it is like to have been dead and lost in my selfishness, lust and arrogance.
Ephesians 2:1-3 reminds us that we were once dead in our sins and that before we received new life in Jesus we were “children of wrath.” However, that’s not where our stories end.
Paul summarizes the incredible redemptive work of Jesus in Ephesians 2:4-5 when he says, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.”
Jesus Christ is the antidote to our sin. He has made us alive in Him.
Everything comes alive, In You
I’m made alive now I’m by Your side
I’ve come alive, I’ve come alive
We can rejoice that we are already with Christ in heavenly places no matter how earthly or difficult our circumstances may feel. The truth is that when we surrendered to Christ, He “Raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
My heart is beating to the rhythm of Your love
My feet are running ever faster to Your grace
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
He has rescued us so that we may grow in intimacy with Him and go into all the world sharing the incredible news of the Gospel. We have been made alive to love God and love others.
