Facing The Unpredictability Of LifeSample
THE LORD PROVIDES US WITH HORSES AND CHARIOTS AND HIS PLAN PREVAILS
For four months our thirteen-year-old son was getting up in the night with a strange pain on his left hand. This happened while we were moving from Indonesia to Vietnam. During this time doctors visits were made in Indonesia who felt it was a growth pain and in Vietnam they found his Vitamin D was low and supplements were given.
Except for this strange pain at nights, our son was perfectly normal and had no problems having an active life. On a casual talk with my friends, we were advised to take him to a pediatric orthopedician as frequently getting up in the night was not a good sign for a young boy. As our son was having his mid-term break, a quick visit to India was planned to get an opinion.
The doctor gave some tests as she wanted to get to the bottom of the unexplainable pain. The tests were taking time that we had to postpone our return to Vietnam. All the doctors’ findings were pointing to my son having had an impact on his left hand. In the meantime, the doctor asked our son to try and remember if he had hit his left hand somewhere. As we walked out of the doctor’s office to do another test, my son remembered how about a month before the onset of pain he had hit his hand on a pole in school. The final test showed a fracture and the doctor was able to then close the loop.
These were the verses God spoke to me at that time. India's number one pediatric orthopedician was seeing my son. It is so easy to put our trust in them, but God reminded me that He gives us horses and chariots, but we need to be careful to trust the name of the Lord.
What are some of the horses and chariots God provides us that we may trust them instead of the Lord?
Finances, health, a good job, our heart's desires, favor with people, circumstances and coincidences which seem to be God sent and so on. When we take our focus from God and start trusting the chariots and horses God provided, our life becomes unpredictable Today let us make sure that we are looking to the God who provides the horses and chariots for life's everyday battles and give Him His due place.

About this Plan
Life seems to be at its best when a sudden change results in undesirable situations or we are faced with terminal sickness out of the blue or we face a major roadblock in life which upsets our plans. What does the Bible say about facing these situations in life?
