Chosen: Rejected by People, Chosen a 5-Day Plan by Wanda WhiteSample
You are a Masterpiece
Have you ever watched an artist create or a builder build? It starts with a vision they have and the first thing they do is put pen to paper. They start writing, sketching, drawing, erasing, and tweaking until the finished product is something they are proud of. They are meticulous in their efforts. They look at it from all angles to make sure it lines up. They get so involved in their work that they forget the time or other responsibilities. They take pride in their work and can’t wait to show it off to the world. Most artists and builders won’t display their work until it is complete.
This work of art is a one of a kind. This work is magnificent. This work is invaluable. People line up to see such a creation, such beauty. People pay a lot money just to get a glimpse. The work of art is known but more importantly, its creator is known. People understand that without the creator, the creation, the work of art, the masterpiece wouldn’t exist.
Imagine for a moment that you are this magnificent work of art BECAUSE YOU ARE! Ephesians 2:10 reminds us of just that. God took His time making and molding you for a specific purpose. He didn’t trust just anyone to create you. No one else could give you that intellect. No one would have realized you needed that season in your life and surely no one would have wanted you to have that resilience.
You are part of God’s master plan. You are His master creation, and he wants to show you off to the world. He took his time creating all of your intricate parts. He knows every detail of your being. He knows how many hairs are on your head. He knows your thoughts even when you are far away from Him. He didn’t rush through giving you everything you would need to be successful in this life. And He didn’t throw you away because you have a few scars. The scars make you authentic and add value to you. The scars identify you as His. The scars can’t be duplicated by an imposter, and no one can carry those scars like you. After all, you were made for them.
Reflection Question: In what ways has God shown you that you are his masterpiece?
Prayer
Father thank you for taking your time in creating every facet of my being. Because You are my creator, I know I’m a masterpiece.
