Guardians Of Ancora Bible Plan: Ancora Kids Put On ArmourSample
BE READY
If you haven’t got any shoes on, see if you can put some on now. A soldier would not want to go into battle in bare feet!
Now, obey these commands!
Attention! (Stand ready.)
Quick march!
Halt! (Stop.)
About turn.
At ease. (Relax.)
Read Ephesians chapter 6, verse 15.
What should we always be ready to do in our fight against evil?
- Wait until tomorrow?
- Talk about war?
- Share God’s peace?
- Show other people that we love Jesus?
Read Ephesians chapter 6, verse 16.
The Bible tells us that trust in Jesus is like a shield to protect us. Practise saying this rhyme:
Trust in Jesus to help you be strong when you’re tempted to do something wrong.
Can you say it without looking?
Did you know that faith isn’t something we can make up ourselves? Read Ephesians chapter 2, verses 8 and 9. Faith is a gift from God – a good thing that he gives to us.
Pray: Touch your shoes and ask God to help you to be ready to share his peace. Use the rhyme to ask God to help you to hold faith, like a shield.

About this Plan
This 3-day children’s Bible reading plan explores one of the best-known passages in the Bible: putting on the armour of God. As children develop, they learn to understand and then use this sort of symbolic language: it is a skill that grows as people grow. This Bible section is a perfect example of picture-language that helps us see the deep things of God.
