Walk With OthersSample
Day 2
Encouraging Others in Faith
Living a life that reflects Jesus is hard to do in isolation. In fact, it is nearly impossible. Think about the things that God’s Word urges us to do and be. We are encouraged to be compassionate and kind. And we are to show humility and patience. We are called to forgive and, above all, love. These all involve other people! If for no other reason – and there are plenty more – we need to live in community for the opportunity to display Jesus’ character to others. Crawford Loritts explains how God has chosen to use us as tangible expressions of His love.

What would it look like for you to address others in “psalms and hymns and spiritual songs” (Ephesians 5:19)? It is doubtful that God is asking you to make your life a constant musical. But what if your words to others, spoken plainly, made melody to the Lord as they pointed people to the gospel? God desires to care for His people and has a part for you to play. You can live like Jesus as you help others along their journey of faith.

About this Plan
Walks are often enjoyed with other people. It’s great to be able to talk about what you’re seeing, feeling, and hearing. As we walk with God, He also intends for us to help others WALK more closely with Him. Each of the 5 days of this audio plan contains a short message (1-2 minutes). We will cover mentoring, connecting with others, seeing opportunities and handling challenges together.
