The Greatest Leader
Picture someone in your life who you would consider to be a good leader. What characteristics about them stick out? Their shining quality might be their positive language or the way they live a life of integrity. The leaders in your life are ones to admire and learn from. But, there are probably some things you still don’t understand or haven’t quite mastered. Thankfully, we have the example of the greatest leader of all time. He led with kindness, purpose, and an unfailing love for people. His name is Jesus.
The Bible gives us countless examples of Jesus showing remarkable leadership. Although you might not feel your role is as important as the Son of God, you have the opportunity and responsibility to show the love of Jesus daily. The way you lead yourself and others reflects who Jesus is.
John 10 gives us a perfect illustration of how Jesus is our shepherd, and we are His sheep. As you read through the Scripture, reflect on the qualities of Jesus you admire most and how you could imitate those today.
Challenge: A leader will reflect the teachings of Jesus. Make a list of three ways you can act more like Jesus today.
