21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

DAY 20 OF 21

READ

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”—Galatians 5:13–14 (NIV)

RESPOND

Freedom in Christ comes with a purpose from Christ. According to this passage, our freedom in Christ should be used to serve and love others. What does it mean to “love your neighbor as yourself?” How does the freedom we have in Christ contribute to the way we can love and serve others? Today, find a way to serve a fellow believer. Do something that will truly bless them, and spend some time praying for them.

PRAY

Jesus, thank You for being our wonderful Savior! You have freed me from the bondage of sin and death. The power of darkness has no grip on me because I can take part in Your victory. The darkness cannot withstand the power of Your light. So, I ask You to help me to walk in the light by using this freedom to serve the people around me. May I be a beacon of light for You as I love others with Your love in both word and deed. Amen.

About this Plan

21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

Take a 21-day journey of prayer and fasting with us. Why a fast? Because in it, we have this amazing opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and know Him more deeply as we seek freedom, breakthrough, and guidance! In this plan, we'll have the opportunity to read Scripture and a devotional, meditate on a reflective prompt, and pray.
