We were created to be where He is

Before we start, let’s make something clear: All of humanity was created to be with God!

Have you ever picked up a product at the store and noticed a label with instructions on the back? Sometimes they read as follows: keep in a dry place, refrigerate, shake well, etc. These instructions maximize the purpose and potential of each product.

Now imagine if we were born with an instruction label. In bold letters, the label would read, “MUST BE WITH GOD”.

Unfortunately, we don’t have instructions anywhere on our bodies. Consequently, many of us live our lives in search of the “right” place to be.

Eden and A Disconnect

In the story of Adam and Eve, we are introduced to sin and its everlasting effects on mankind. One of these effects was losing the most sacred and valuable thing man could possess; intimacy with God. Sin separated us from the place we were meant to inhabit.

An interesting point in the story is made when God comes down in search of Adam and Eve after they fell to sin. When looking for them God asks, “Where are you”? Obviously, we know God knew their exact location. We can’t imagine that the God of all creation was scratching his head in awe of how good Adam and Eve were at hide-and-seek.

The true reason God asked, ”Where are you?” was to demonstrate that a separation between man and God had occurred. From that moment forward, God’s new plan, His greatest one, was already set in motion. That plan being; “A Return To Intimacy.”

Do you feel like there is something missing in life, a feeling of emptiness? Maybe you have worries, fears, or something else causing you to struggle. Today I want to tell you about the cure to all these issues. This is your reminder or sign to seek God. Return to Him. You’ll notice that when you come near to Him, your problems completely disappear. Your soul will not be satisfied with all the money in the world, more friends, more followers, alcohol, or even fame. Your soul yearns to be close to God. We were created to be WITH Him!

Throughout this plan we will see what Jesus teaches regarding closeness with God, what intimacy looks like, and how to get close to Him. Our objective is to live a life that is as close to our God as possible.
