The Love-Joy Life
Joy comes into our lives through actions of obedience. Moreover, we may obey God for the sake of righteousness, but God rewards us for it by baptizing us in his love! As we abide in His love, we become vessels of joy, spilling onto dry places in the world around us. That joy will consume us, becoming a hallmark of His righteousness.
Strength and courage rise in the context of God’s joy. We pursue and choose His ways. We gain the fortitude to overcome, and we begin to live the supernatural life. In following the faithful one who overcame the world, we become like Him, and we overcome as well.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing my cry for mercy. You are my strength and shield. Thank you for loving me. Help me to abide in your love.
