It's a Miracle When Things Don't Go Your Way.

Mini-miracles take place when God has a different plan than yours. I was on a three-day retreat with my church, and I decided one morning around 6:30 AM to hike alone to the top of a mountain. I had climbed this mountain twice with my church family, so I knew what to expect at the top. As I climbed up about a mile and-a-half, it started to sprinkle. I was too close, so I wasn't turning back.

I was anticipating this glorious view that I had seen in the past. It was all planned out in my mind. I would sit on this huge stone that is near the edge of the mountain. I would enjoy looking over the valley, the lake, and the other mountains in the distance, and sit and talk to God.

I was finally at the very top, and the rain had ceased. However, there was no view! There was nothing. All I saw was fog (I had to pinch myself to ensure I was not in heaven.) I sat down on the big rock, extremely disappointed because my plan was ruined. At that moment, God spoke to me. "Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there." I will never forget the softness of His voice that day.

There will be times when things will seem very cloudy and unclear, but have faith that He is still present. This was my mini-miracle. God had a different plan for me. He wanted to give me a message that I would carry on through all the trials and tribulations right around the corner. Our time together on that mountain was more powerful because there were no distractions. I truly felt like it was just me and Him up there.

I’m not sure where you are on your journey of life, but keep hiking up that mountain, keep having faith, take time to listen to God, and know that a glorious miracle is awaiting.
