Refresh: 21 Days of Prayer & FastingSample
Mark 11:24 (KJV) Jesus said “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Notice Jesus said,“whatever you desire,” but if you see yourself unworthy, undeserving, or disqualified because you have blown it in some area, you become incapable of receiving your heart’s desire.
Unfortunately, many people who pray and ask God for big things do not receive what they ask for because they VIEW themselves as undeserving and unworthy. Shame, guilt, and condemnation have blurred their picture of the Father’s promise thereby making it impossible to conceive what their heart desires to receive.
If, on the other hand, you see yourself the way God made you to be in Christ, you are now capable of receiving all that God has for you because Jesus said, "As you have believed, so be it done unto you."
I cannot stress enough the need for you to have a perfect picture that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, that your sins, past, present, and future have already been paid for and forgiven. But not just that, you also need to have a perfect picture of what you want and desire. Just as gravity puts an invisible demand on a man’s arms as he endeavors to hold them straight out at his side for any length of time, your internal vision puts an irresistible demand on the reality of what you are picturing.
You might say that faith, like gravity, sends out a signal causing God's law of attraction to be in effect.Similarly, your perfect picture is broadcasting a signal, demanding that what you see must come to you.
Pastor Justin said it like this: ”God has something great for your NEXT but he has something supernatural for you now.” The meaning? That you should enjoy all the blessings God has given you now, while you’re anticipating what's next!
Reflection: Why not take the time today to be grateful for all the blessings that the Father has already given you, and remember when Jesus said, ”Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be given to you." He was teaching us that we’re not called to seek things, but to seek Him and the righteousness found in Him!
