Joy-Filled Life
Have you ever done something extremely difficult but throughout the process, you felt God’s purpose in it? The truth is, purpose isn’t easy; it requires enduring some challenges. Yet, during those challenges, you can still experience God’s Joy and pleasure because it’s what you are created for.
The Bible says that because of the Joy set before Jesus, he could endure unimaginable pain and suffering. Therefore, he was more excited about giving us life than he was sad about experiencing death.
I know life isn’t always easy, but when we walk in our purpose, we experience levels of Joy that exceed our pain levels. Purpose doesn’t always make you happy, but it will ultimately bring you Joy. Joy fuels us to keep pursuing our purpose even when life gets difficult. The Bible says the Joy of the Lord is our strength.
To experience Joy, we must ask two questions:
- Where do I find the most Joy in life? This will bring clarity to understanding where God is calling me. The areas we experience the most Joy in are generally where God wants to position us.
- How do I fuel my Joy? What are activities, experiences, and environments that fill you with Joy? Life is hard, but God has wired us to let Joy fuel us. You must find what fills you to ensure you have something to give.
When we live out God’s purpose for our lives, we experience the Joy of the Lord. I pray you will experience Joy in new ways as you live on purpose over the next couple of weeks.
ACTION :
Are you experiencing Joy living out the purpose? Where have you experienced the most Joy in your life?
