Act UpSample
The End Is Actually the Beginning
Have you ever binge-watched a show you loved on Netflix? And then … you finally finish that last episode of the whole entire series. The credits are rolling as you feel loss deep inside. That thing you loved so much and spent so much time with has come to an end.
It’s easy to think of endings as a bad or difficult thing. But endings are necessary. Endings are often the beginning of something great. Endings pave the way and create space for something new.
When Jesus died on the cross, He cried out “It is finished!” This was a horrible end. When Jesus’ life ended, the earth shook, and a ton of crazy things happened that we read about in Matthew 27, but this end led to something new: resurrection. Death was defeated. Sin was abolished. People could be saved through this sacrifice. This is the main pillar of the Christian faith.
It’s necessary for things to end in order for new things to begin. That’s part of growing up and maturing.
So what’s something that needs to end in your life to create space for something new? What’s that something new that you want to step into?
About this Plan
