DAY 3 OF 4

Assurance 3: God Will Never Leave Or Forsake You

We will be challenged along our life’s journey. Being God’s children doesn’t exempt us from trying experiences. Consider some challenges facing people in the Bible:

Death and Poverty. Naomi expressing joy at God’s steadfastness following the deaths of her husband and sons: “...God hasn’t quite walked out on us after all! He still loves us, in bad times as well as good!” (Ruth 2:20, MSG).

War. David’s confidence in God’s Name when confronting Goliath’s taunts: “...You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted” (1 Samuel 17:45, AMP).

Fear. Joshua and Caleb expressing confidence in God’s promises to give the Israelites the Promised Land: “Do not rebel against the LORD, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. They are only helpless prey to us! They have no protection, but the LORD is with us! Don’t be afraid of them!” (Numbers 14:9, NLT).

Reflections and Encouragement.

Trust God and His faithfulness. Child of God, always remember God will never abandon you. See Him as your Redeemer, Protector, Defender, Provider, and Whoever you need Him to be (Exodus 3:14). As God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34), take the words God spoke to Joshua as God speaking to you: “….Just as I was [present] with Moses, so will I be with you; I will not fail you or abandon you” (Joshua 1:5, AMP).

Instead of doubting during our challenging circumstances, we should remember:

  • God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. He is God Almighty, and no foe can withstand Him (Isaiah 43:13)!
  • God’s Word is all powerful. God’s Word does what He says (Isaiah 55:11).
  • God’s Word stands (Isaiah 40:8 and Matthew 24:35).
  • God’s history of carrying us (Isaiah 46:3-4).
  • God loves us (Jeremiah 31:3).

God is with and for His children. God knows us completely and loves us steadfastly.

About this Plan

I Am Loved

Though change is common in life, there’s One you can depend on Who doesn’t change. In troubling circumstances, God implores you not to throw away your confidence. God declares you are His, and He loves you. If you want a reminder of God’s fierce, life-giving, and world-overcoming love of you, this plan’s for you! Feel free to exhale, close your eyes, reflect on God’s faithfulness, and declare, “I Am Loved.”
