Challenge 5

Proverbs 31:26 (ESV): “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”

Kindness Illustrated

The Proverbs 31 woman is honored and revered by her family. The wisdom she speaks comes from God’s Word and encourages and builds up those around her. She is not loud, a yeller, nor does she use filthy language. When she speaks, there are lessons to be learned in the manner of kindness that come from her gentle spirit and calmness in her voice.

Action Steps

Sometimes our ears don’t hear or our eyes don’t see the wisdom or the kindness. We might claim it’s sentimentalism. Husbands, please consider wives see what we’re blind to. Take action daily for the next seven days. Tell her how you appreciate her, how as a woman she is different from you as a man, how she does things differently than you, and how valuable she is to you and God.
