Ssshhh... Can You Hear It? Listening to God's Voice in Your LifeSample
Your Coach believes in you! 🎾
Since my vacation in the south of France a few summers ago, I've developed a great passion for tennis! A friend of mine urged me right at the beginning of my time there to book a few lessons with a coach. Even though I didn't feel like it and thought it was too expensive at first, I finally agreed. The first hours were really tedious, but then it began to click! The more time I spent with my coach, the more details, tips, and tricks he revealed to me, and the more my skill level grew!
Then, during one practice, my coach left the court, and suddenly, my technique fell apart. I couldn't figure it out…why had this happened? My coach later explained to me that the subconscious mind plays a major role when it comes to confidence. I am stronger when I know that the coach is available on the sidelines, and I should learn to trust that he's there—even if I don't see him!
Isn't it similar with Jesus? How many coaching sessions have you had with Him? :-) Has life with Him started to "click"?
"'My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.'" (John 10:27, NKJV) Yes, Jesus wants to speak to you, even if you don't see Him!
Maybe as you're reading this, you're starting to realize that you need more practice recognizing Jesus' voice. If so, I'd like to be that friend today encouraging you to pay the price of your time. As His Word says, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you…" (James 4:8, NKJV). What an incredible promise!
When my coach stepped away, I could no longer hear him, but I knew he'd already told me everything I needed to know. It was then up to me to put it all into practice!
Do you sometimes feel like Jesus has "stepped off" your playing field? Then trust that you've already heard everything you need to know and that now, it's up to you to put it into practice! You are ready! Go in confidence…but make sure to go! And by the way, even if it feels like He has left, Jesus is always with you. He is still there, and He believes in you! :-)
You are a miracle!

About this Plan
I know when someone is listening. They don’t just listen with their ears. They listen with their bodies. Their eyes are focused, and their posture is poised for listening. Friend, is that something you desire - to hear God and know His voice? Is there something you can learn to listen better? If the answer is yes, then spend some time reflecting on what it means to really listen to God’s voice.
