Let Justice Roll

When people turn from the Lord, two things disappear- justice and righteousness - fairness and right living. When a society is built on the bribes of the rich and the power of the few privileged families, its very foundation is cracked. The prophet warned Israel about just such a falling away, and suggested that justice and righteousness needed to clean house just like an energized river. We need to heed that instruction as well.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we acknowledge too often we share the sins of Israel. We want mercy for us, but judgment for our enemies; forgiveness for us, revenge for everyone else. Today I repent and ask your forgiveness. Give me your heart - a heart that embraces justice and righteousness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
