Don’t hold back the message!

May the JOY of this Christmas Eve touch your heart to the depth of your soul. Just think, Jesus came to earth for YOU! If you were the only person on the face of the planet, the love of God was SO strong that Jesus would have come just for you.

Hold that miraculous thought in your heart for just a few moments. Let it sink in. Jesus came JUST for me. Christmas was meant for ME. I am invited into the center of Christmas because the love of God was reaching into my heart at the moment when Jesus arrived. What a wonder!

Can you take a moment and just imagine that moment? Immerse yourself in the beauty of Christmas.

Mary and Joseph are tucked into the stable in Bethlehem, the night is cold, Herod is scheming, and the threat is real...the wise men are just beginning their two year journey, following a star. The shepherds are doing their job, keeping watch....and THEN:

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. ”Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:9-14, NIV)

Can you feel the hope of that night? Don’t be afraid! There is good news! A Savior has come! There is joy for ALL people! The baby is here! We can praise God! There is peace and rest for all those who will give glory to God!

We have the same message that the angels brought all those years ago. Don’t hold the message back! This is a miraclous message that we have to share with people all around us. In a world filled with so much hopelessness, we have the greatest story that brings hope to all who will hear it. A Messiah has come and we can know Him!

Who can you call right now and share this message? Who has the Holy Spirit put your heart right now to invite to church to hear about the gift of Jesus?

Will you share the message? I am praying that you will know that if God came for you, He also came for others. Jesus wants you to share His story at Christmas and you can do it!

I met a young man at church this past weekend who said, “I gave my heart to Jesus two years ago because a friend didn’t keep the message of Christmas to himself. I am so grateful that he told me about Jesus. I will be forever in his debt”.

You sharing this story could be someone else’s Christmas miracle. Go, tell it on the mountains, over the hill and EVERYWHERE!
