During this life season, I have had many changes and challenges. I do not like change at all. The most recent challenge has put me in a downward spiral. I lost my dog, who had been in my life since I was a child, and I am devastated. She was my loyal companion who never let me down. I cannot see a life without her by my side. It is not fair that she is gone now. I was angry and heartbroken at the same time as I thought about this sudden change in my circumstances. Who will greet me with joy when I come home? Who will stay by my side each part of my day? I was lonely and frustrated as I thought about my new reality.

Are you going through a change of circumstances that have left you wondering why? Is your heart lonely as you enter a new season of change? Trust the Lord, who never changes and never leaves your side. He will remain with you always in every season of your life. He knows how much you need Him and promises to be with you. Change is certain, but the Lord is always constant and faithful to you. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

I will cling to You as I go through these changes. I am not a fan of my new challenges, but know You are my biggest fan! You will stay with me always as You are forever faithful to me. My dependence has grown as I trust You more. Thank You for remaining my constant companion yesterday, today, and forever! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
